The History of Ankara

The history of Ankara which is the heart of Anatolia, reaches to ten thousand years before today. Among the civilizations that host Ankara may be counted as Hattis, Hittites, Phrygian, Lydians, Persians, Macedonians, Galatians (Keltic people), Romans, Seljuks and the Ottomans.

Ankara which is the capital city of Turkey, was also the capital city of Galatians stem Tectosages during the history and afterwards to Phrygians.
