We stayed at this hotel two years ago when it was still part of the Hilton chain. Since Rixos took over about a year ago, prices have increased significantly, but unfortunately we do not feel that the overall experience has improved accordingly. Some changes introduced by the new management were disappointing for us. Previously, breakfast was available both in the main restaurant and in the Arabic restaurant on the beach, which was a great and quieter alternative, especially for guests wanting to avoid a busy, family-oriented atmosphere. Now breakfast is served only in the main restaurant, which can become very crowded. The Arabic restaurant is now open only for dinner and has changed its cuisine from Lebanese to Turkish, which we personally liked less. The reception service was somewhat inconsistent, as we had to ask multiple times for certain requests. On the positive side, during our stay the hotel was affected by a tornado and heavy rain that caused some damage, and we were very impressed with how professionally the hotel handled the situation. The staff worked extremely hard to restore services quickly, which we truly appreciated. We stayed in a suite with direct beach access, which was much more expensive than a standard room but definitely the right choice for us. We enjoyed being located directly on the beach and away from the constant entertainment noise present in the main building from morning until late evening. The room itself would benefit from renovation but was well equipped and cleaned daily. There are, however, two areas that need improvement: the air conditioning should be stronger and allow lower temperatures, as we felt too warm at night, and the shower water temperature was not always consistently hot. Overall, the food quality was good. We had breakfasts and lunches mainly in the Turquoise restaurant, where the food was tasty, but the orange juice was no longer freshly squeezed and the cheese selection did not meet expectations for a 5-star resort. We did not enjoy the food at the Orient restaurant. The system for booking à la carte restaurants is extremely inconvenient and should be improved. We really liked the Italian restaurant L’Olivo, the steaks at Toro Loco, and especially the Arela Bar for its atmosphere, service, and cocktails. On the other hand, we were disappointed with the lunch menus at Sol and Toro Loco, as pub-style food does not feel appropriate for a luxury resort. The Christmas Day brunch was well arranged and very enjoyable. We also enjoyed the life music in L'Olivo and Toro Loco restaurants. The beach itself was very pleasant and well maintained. We particularly appreciated the large number of sunbeds and the almost unlimited supply of beach towels, which made the beach experience comfortable and stress-free. Overall, this is an expensive resort and, considering the price, expectations are naturally high. While we did enjoy our stay, there are several areas where improvements are needed to fully justify the current pricing.

We stayed here for ten days over Christmas, hotel amazing, my mum had passed away two days before we arrived so was not really looking forward to this holiday but the staff here were amazing especially Ajij at the pool, he not only did his job professionally but took the time to ask how we were every day and never let us lift a finger, he went out of his way. Food first class, so much choice, drinks plentiful and rooms spotless.

Faruk and Snow in Turquoise restaurant were exceptional. Toro Loco has improved massively since our last visit. Great to see the 18+ bar still in operation as we the 16+ pool. Christmas Day brunch with food stalls outside was a great idea!
