Live(ly) Entertainment
Rixos Bab Al Bahr offers a host of diverse entertainment options for families, friends and couples, varying with the seasons. During the winter months, the entertainment focuses on the great outdoors. Those wishing to relax and enjoy the view will love the beachside bars and the adults-only Infinity Pool with its bar. The cooler winter nights are marked by live music, dancing, shows from world-famous groups and breath-taking acrobatics at the Entertainment Square, our multi-purpose amphitheater. As the temperatures rise during the summer months, the evening entertainment moves indoors and the resort provides "soft entertainment". Guests can still enjoy daytime activities, which revolve around live music performances at the Aisha Lobby Lounge. The evening entertainment includes live music theme nights.
Our Offers
This was our 8th visit to Rixos RAK. I would expert a 5* hotel to keep getting better over the years, but last year we were disappointed, but decided to go back as we only go for 4 nights and its always nice to know a place, but we probably wont go back. Always liked premium rooms for the large balcony with table, chairs and sunbeds, and comfort in the room. However last year carpets, which were part of the luxury were dirty, and this year replaced with laminate and a rug either side of the bed. The colour of laminate does not match the room, and our rug was not hoovered before or during our stay. No sunbeds, had to ask, and body shower gel empty. Again had to ask for this. The hair dryer is in the drawer of the desk. But there is no light above it, so your trying to do hair and makeup in the darkness of that corner. Our fridge was only restocked on our last day. Al la carte restaurants Used to be able to book easily and for all nights of your stay. Now cant book on 1st night now, the Asian nor Italian were open for the nights we could book, plus within an hour of the booking system opening the only places I could get for 2 people were 6pm or 10pm in Fish or Meat restaurants. So we were eating at 10pm. The booking of these restaurants makes your holiday stressful. Especially as it has to be booked each day. The staff are great and very attentive, although I didnt use it I like the bar order system from your sunbed which is located on the sun umbrella. I lost the diamond out of my engagement ring and the last night security came and checked our room, they advised they would have a report for me to take and use for my insurance the following morning before we left. Asked the next morning, the security had not updated herself on what was going on via their chat group, but on asking someone told me my insurance needs to write to you. So who was right, who was wrong. I didnt get a report. Im guessing numbers are right down as Mojito bar was empty every evening. The bar/coffee place just off reception is now no longer 24 hours, despite when I booked it said it was.
