Initially we were put in a room for disabled people (which was fine), but nobody turned off the bed alarm, which went off at 4am (twice) & nobody answered when we repeatedly called reception. It was like an air raid siren going off. It didn’t feel like anybody took this particularly seriously, but we were offered the Tepanyaki & a downgraded room with a worse view as an apology…. Unfortunately I came down with a serious sickness bug & spent the whole next day very sick. The hotel did provide free room service as I couldn’t leave the room (and a bottle of champagne, which I couldn’t drink 🙈😅). After this, the experience was great & everything was smooth sailing from this point. But we didn’t get the welcome we would’ve hoped to receive. The staff were incredibly friendly & hard working. I think we were just unfortunate at the beginning.
