Rixos Bab Al Bahr

Nice place for both adults and kids. Many of the activities specifically for kids and late night DJ/music for adults.

We would like to express our thanks to all the people at the Rixos Bab Al Bahr. My younger grandson is celiac to a level that requires a strict gluten free diet to avoid going to hospital. Last year my son and his partner took the boys on an expensive five-star holiday in Spain which was completely ruined and highly stressful because no one understood, nor seemed to care, about my grandson's condition. The whole family were completely disillusioned about all-inclusive holidays. We suggested that we all went to the Rixos Bab Al Bahr as we are regular Rixos customers, and we were confident in the service we would receive. We were not disappointed. We had contacted the hotel before and received back several confirmation emails that everything would be done to make our grandson welcome and to keep him safe. It is a testament to the hotel that we found not only the chefs but all those involved in catering were knowledgeable about being celiac and the importance of gluten free diet to a level that we feel is exceptional. The training and education of your people must be exceptional. It is unfortunate that we didn't get everybody's name who helped us but we did get some and we are particularly grateful to Chef Namal Priyan who made our grandson Brodie so welcome. Chef would take Brodie around the buffet and explain which dishes he could have and which he could not. If there was nothing he liked the team made special dishes just for Brodie. The same was true of Roshara. This lovely young lady made Brodie feel so special and totally included. On our last night we dined at the amazing Meat Point restaurant and the team had made Brodie a gluten free brownie for his desert. His mother told me that she had never experienced such service before. The rest of the family we so well looked after as well. The facilities were varied enough for us all to relax and enjoy in so many different ways. Our suite was ready when we arrived, and the location and layout was perfect for a family of six. It was clean and well equipped. No part of the site was too far from our front door. My son and older grandson who is 15 joined in the water polo which was so well organised but very competitive. Great fun. We understood about the 30-minute rule on sunbeds and the security guard (Ravinda/ Javinda I did not get to write his name down, but such a gentleman) did his best to keep the peace. His manager understood that with Brodie meals took longer and between them they relaxed the rules a little so we could relax. We are not sure there are enough sunbeds but understand the difficulty. The life guards were courteous, professional and very attentive. The boys went to the teen club and the younger one went to the kid’s club. Both excellent facilities and well run. We used the sports bar to watch the football and were a little shocked to see people smoking in there. This is something we are no longer used to and as an asthmatic it was a little concerning but fortunately was not too bad on the night of the match. If you could consider a non- smoking Sports TV area it would help. Since returning from holiday we have told so many people about the excellent service in the great facilities. We hope to return soon and enjoy the Rixos Bab Al Bahr welcome, a credit to the Rixos group. My son and his family repeatedly mention the holiday and this exceptional hotel. Whilst they mention the facilities it is your people and the service they provided that is most special to them. The combination of the facilities and the people is what has made this holiday so special. It is difficult to put into words just how sceptical they were about all-inclusive holiday. They were so concerned about Brodie’s safety. Thank you. Everyone is different, and it is difficult to recommend holidays to others but we are glad they were recommended your hotel to our family.

Everyone was very friendly, we arrived earlier than check in, the receptionist said our room was ready and they let us check in early. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff were all very friendly.

Gr8 hotel, however the Russian guest are very rude and management don't know how to deal with them, Evening shows need to be better announced and known to guest, not in line with what's advertised, but overall a gr8 resort and staff cannot do enough for you, very clean and spotless with a fab range of food on offer at buffet throughout the day

My only disappointment was Sun beds were al taken early every morning, towels left on them to claim them 🤔 . Staff were very pleasant. Abdul the bar tender in the pool bar was spot on 👍💯🤜
