Rixos Premium Tekirova

We have just returned for a 7 day holiday at the Rixos Premium Tekirova, and we had an absolute blast!! Arrival - We arrived late (past midnight) and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who spoke amazing English! This was welcomed by my partner and I after such a long day of travelling. He asked if we were hungry and directed us to the People's a la carte restaurant which is open from 12am to 8am where you can get burgers, pasta, quesadillas, soup and cheesecake. We were way too tired so we went straight to bed, but appreciated this information. The hotel is in a beautiful location and has impressive views from every corner. The room - We loved the room and it had everything we needed and was very spacious and comfortable! Very comfortable beds and a great big smart TV which has info on the hotel as well as your usual YouTube, Netflix etc. We were in a standard double room which overlooked the pool. You have a minibar which has beer, iced tea, water, fanta, cola, chocolate, sweets and iced coffee in. This gets stocked up every day. There is also tea and coffee, a bag of pretzels and doritos in the drawer above the mini bar. Food - The buffet is your average buffet. For Brits who love your typical British buffet they don't have the "usual" British food you can get at an all inclusive so fussy eaters may be disappointed, but I enjoyed the variety that was on offer and liked the Turkish variety to get the true Turkish experience. The food was good and we found the table service for drinks to be very quick. It is crazy busy when it first opens, but if you wait an hour it quietens down greatly! Although even at its busiest getting a table is no problem (it just may be tricky to get one on the terrace). Don't miss out on some of the different BBQ options that are located on the back of the restaurant on the terrace, we didn't spot these until we went outside as the length of the restaurant is very long. A la carte - We ate in A La Turka, Mandarin and La Rosetta and the food in every restaurant was wonderful. My only feedback is that with La Rosetta there were a lot of mosquitos and a lot of guests spent their meal trying to wave them away as they were everywhere (so make sure you wear/take bug spray!!!!). Some citronella candles would have helped this, but again I appreciate not a whole lot can be done about this! But regardless we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant and the food was divine. Great table service too very friendly staff who look after you. I had no problem booking the restaurants on the Rixos app, just make sure you do it when the booking opens (9am) and you'll have no issues. However, I recommend you check throughout the day for cancellations if you miss booking at 9am. Pools - I have seen a lot of reviews saying you need to be down at the pool for 9am to get a spot but we didn't have any issues. Appreciate there were only two of us, so perhaps if you were a family getting a spot by the pool may be a bit tricky, but there were still plenty of beds that are not directly by the pool (but a row back) for families to take advantage of. There is great service by the pool, there are often a few waiters on rollerskates by the pool taking orders, they always make sure you are well looked after delivering drinks, snacks and ice creams!! They were fab. But you can still go to the bar and order your drinks, again excellent service very quick and friendly staff. Due to the pool being very big you are still able to swim around freely, the pool isn't close to being overcrowded which is nice. Beach - Again, very easy to get a bed and they have QR codes dotted around for you to order drinks/snacks to your table, but for some reason you do not have the full menu to order from when using the QR code, but if you go to the bar it is no different to everywhere else and they can make you whatever drink/cocktail/snacks you're after. There is also a snack bar selling fresh fruit (watermelon, melon, apples etc.) as well as bottles of water and cooked corn. The day we went to the beach it was a little windy so there were waves meaning it wasn't the best for snorkelling, but I heard from other guests when the water is calm it is crystal clear and there are lots of fish! Still the beach is lovely, very clean and the water was warm. You can pay for watersports on this beach (parasailing, jet skiing, banana boats etc.) although we didn't do this so can't comment on the experience, although it looked like those who were taking part had great fun! Entertainment - I was very impressed with the entertainment! It starts at 9:30 every night and finishes at 10:30, if you want to watch make sure you head down for 9am the latest to get a table as they fill up fast and there were families who had to stand and watch. There were a few different acrobatic/gymnastic type entertainment, as well as live music, as well as a globe of death one night (typically we were watching the football in Xpress Bar so missed this!!) which looked amazing. Bars - The best place for cocktails is definitely the Lotus Bar, it is a lovely part of the hotel that also has a Starbucks counter during the day (until 11pm I believe). The mixologists here are very talented and make stunning cocktails, some the best I have genuinely ever had (and I love my cocktails!!). Xpress Bar was great to have a night tipple at, very relaxed vibe and you can play pool here. There is a bowling alley although for some reason this was closed throughout our stay which is a shame. If there are any sporting events on TV they will have them on here on the big screen indoors, and on outdoor TVs on the terrace, they tend to open the bar early for this too, as it usually opens midnight-8am. Concierge service - When you check in they take your number and add you to a groupchat with two concierges available throughout the day until midnight. This was one of my favourite things about the hotel as if you have any questions, they are simply a text away and they reply very quickly! They also send out in the morning a timetable for the day which details what restaurants are open and until what time, the kids activities, evening entertainment, as well as anything else that is going on. This was also very handy, and I imagine if you are with you little ones super helpful so you can plan out what activities there are to take part in - which all sounded amazing! They are also super friendly and couldn't do enough to help you and make your stay 10/10. Town - We went to Kemer which I'll be honest, was OK. We heard it was great for shopping etc. but we found that it was more or less the same shop on every corner, and the quality wasn't brilliant. We went there by bus and it took around 30/40 minutes to get there. You need to get the number 8 bus there and back and you can only get it back from the clock tower in Kemer (where you get dropped off...we found this out the hard way haha!!). We went into Tekirova town by bus a few days later (very easy to do, think it took around 10 minutes and was something crazy like £1 for two people!). I actually found this far better than Kemer, obviously, it is way smaller but we found the quality to be better and it was way cheaper!! You can easily haggle the shop owners down. However you won't find a lot of bars or restaurants. Overall we had a wonderful stay, special shoutouts to Yusuf who works in La Rosetta, Ahmed in Xpress Bar, as well as Furkan and Mustafa at Lotus Bar. They all made our holiday absolutely spectacular. They are an asset to the hotel and made our holiday the best we have EVER had! Especially Furkan and Mustafa from the Lotus Bar, they are amazing mixologists and wonderful people - so friendly and funny and have a great energy about them. Absolutely brilliant holiday and we cannot wait to return 😊 Thank you Rixos Tekirova for a holiday we will never forget!

We have been to this hotel for the 4th time. We like this hotel very much. But this time I will make a remark about the service in the hotel. The situation has unfortunately worsened in recent times. Poorer service in the main restaurant (dishes are not picked up, napkins are scattered, tables are poorly cleaned). I believe it's just a temporary glitch. Anyway, we are still planning spring break here next year.

its ok of a hotel i'm struggling to see where the premium bit is. i think you leck enterainment you need a foam parts . can do a white party beach party etc.disappoint bowling not working lack of play area for older chilfrean and teenagers.main restaurant could do with theme nights i would say this is a good 4 star hotel .i stopped at trendy lara last your and you are on par. also cocktails need to improve
