Rixos Premium Seagate

On arrival the hotel looked great, we were met and bags immediately assisted by concierge. On going to reception the receptionisht was friendly, quick and information, though a welcome drink offered would have been nice! Concierge went to take us with our bags, but nobody was there to drive the buggy. After 10 minutes we were told to walk back through the hotel and wait for the main transport, not a problem as we walked out to the huge main pool and sunset views, the grounds are well maintained, beautiful landscaping and palms fronting every building, giving you the illusion they aren't in sight. As we were driven you could see how huge the hotel is, a substantial kids club with inside and outside amenities, and shallow covered pools, we didn't need this but for families we saw, it really was great. Our room was nice, very standard really but had some fake petals and grasses saying welcome to Rixos which was a nice touch. The balcony was smaller than i hoped, actually quite cred seat area amped, its a shame the unused seat area isn't balcony, it would have been better and given a better sea view (though we were only pool/garden view which we had a good view of). Now we were blocked 20. I'd requested a quiet room, and I'm glad we were given one. Whistle most nights we attended evening entertainment, the noise to rooms by those blocks must be deafening, we could still hear the this of the sound in our room a good distance away so on the odd night we were talking trips and needed to sleep earlier, this was ideal. In the bathroom the soap and shower gel and shampoo were good, not the best for a 5*+ but by Egyptian standards more than acceptable. There were toothbrush and toothpaste, nail files, a basic shaving set, a exfoliating sponge in the shower, good towelling and flannels. The hairdryer is a bit underwhelming, in fact barely puffs hot air out, so maybe bring your own. The bedroom has iron and ironing board, something not stated on the website, so don't pack that iron. The minions is ample with standard soft drinks, couple of juice cartons, a tonic and soda water, 2 Heineken. I was surprised there were no mini gin, whisky or vodka in it, something the hotel could definitely improve as most people like a drink on returning to the room, and having to get it from the bar was no issue, but I think a 5*+ all inclusive could definitely offer this, even full bottles bracketed to the walls in the room if its more ecological. The crisps and chocolate bars were good though. Tea and coffee in room again pretty standard but a good selection of tea. Coffee was just awful instant nescafe- and upgrade to a nesoresdo machine or pod coffee is definitely needed, I travel a lot and 3* hotels offer this, so another improvement that could be made! I had to wait to breakfast for the bean to cup coffee as just couldn't bring myself to drink instant. Also, no ice unless you get it from the bar, i often asked for an ice bucket or took cups of ice back, I get its difficult and they would look ugly in each block so I will have to accept this hotel can't really do much on that front. No the beach, its beautiful but remember you are on the reef. Water is shallow and its a reef bed so as the tide goes out looks muddy. If I'm honest the Rixos that you can use (adult only) within the package you get to use both; and transport 08.00-00.00 via golf buggy from just outside People's restaurant near the beach front, has a nicer beach area. So if you're coming as a couple its worth using (if not to escape the sound of kids). That said, the pontoon and sea swimming area and then far end, snorkelling area is phenomenal at Rixos Premium. You will see anything and everything tropical fish wise. In fact, you will see the same one any snorkelling trip (though I'd recommend one during the trip as the coral refs off shore are incredible too), but take your own masks, slippers were available but could have had more. If you don't enjoy the sea the walk and seeing them off the reef is just as enjoyable. I tried everything restaurant and the buffet. Now here's my 1 major complaints. The booking system for a la carte is AWFUL and stressful. I complained to guest services constantly and in the end Sohailla personally booked what I needed. Its not fit for purpose, crashes, has little or no availability, yet we often saw tables empty the whole night. They restricted how many people they want for a 'better experience', in fact as it emptied I felt like we were more in a take away and the last people they just wanted to get rid of, with little or no atmosphere as a result. I have many suggestions on improving this and will review this separately. Every restaurant was unique, and staff were trying so hard, the constant clearing of plates just as you put your curly down though and my partner still eating was a little annoying. I like everyone to be finished as it interrupts my conversation and isn't what a 5*+ should be doing, maybe you can get me out to deliver training to your teams hit me up Rixos! Food was overall very good, selection like i said not limited at all, and buffet offered everything for everyone. Drinks selections were OK, I was surprised at how good for an all inclusive the egyptian sparkling was, though I'd not be writing home to rave about it. I was disappointed the selection and range of premium alcohol in the cocktail bar in reception is not offered at every bar, in fact I really got annoyed by it. If you offer something all inclusive it should be EVERYWHERE. To be told, no we don't have this and yet its available is down right poor on Rixos part. I've stayed at lesser 5* all inclusive that offer Hendricks/ Aperol at all bars. Please get this sorted, it really puts me off booking a 5*+ as the + part really shouldn't be there for this alone! The beds by the pools are really comfy as are they at the beach, plenty of towel stations and never an issue getting a bed. Toilets well located to every area. Other plus points, a quiet large pool by reception, though not heated, entertainment pos were really busy and felt overcrowded but would suit a lot as heated and there are pool bars to every pool (again offer everything everywhere!). Staff regularly coming for orders poolside so really can make the most of lazing around though was never a struggle to walk over and get something, crisps and ice cream and slushes availble too. The veranda outside at sunset is a lovely spot but smaller tables of 2 or 4 and lots more of them would massively help, as this was always busy after the sun goes down and difficult to sit out. The lobby and cocktail bar just feel like a empty shopping center so I really wanted outside to relax and was forced to drink on my tiny balcony, or go to the beach bar that didn't offer the same drinks options, nice as that was, again Tables are limited. During my stay we were not informed of the works taking place, not that it affected us noise wise, that was very considerate, but to be informed would be general courtesy, as it did destroy from my experience, looked bad until it was finished, new beach lounge looked fan, as did the new brick ovens, again to be told what you're improving is a spelling piint, to ignore it just looks shoddy on management and guest experience. The attached water park is phenomenal! Absolutely good! The slides and range are for everyone. Best addition to this stay. We went several times. Great kids section to. A wave pool, lazy river, food section and cafe bar (no alcohol for obviously reasons!). Beds are plentiful and spread out. There were never any queues. Loved it and highly recommend. All pools are well staffed by lifeguards and they are very good, huge shout out to Ahmed by the main reception pool who always said hi and looked after us. Mohammed in Epicure also deserves a mention for his explanation service and the creme brulee. Our amazing staff member who works Asian by night, beach restaurant lunch-brilliant. Great holiday.

From the moment we stepped in we were greeted with hospitality and warmth, the resort was stunning, staff cheerful and helpful, the food, juices, drinks, snacks all exceptional!! the only con to our stay was that it wasn’t long enough

It was a great experience overall. Staff and facilities are nice. The only issue I had was the hustle to have restaurants' reservations but the staff in guest relations were kind enough to make it happened.

Clean , food , location , level of service and hospitality was excellent

Myself and my wife. We were upgraded to a junior suite. This is a fantastic hotel. Absolutely recommended. The staff are absolutely incredible. Nothing is too much trouble. They are so helpful and always happy. Food is amazing. Outstanding breakfasts with fabulous a la carte restaurants (we are at 6 different ones in a week). Room was very spacious with everything you need (and more!) Everywhere is so clean.
