Rixos Sungate - The Land Of Legends Access

Me and my boyfriend came here on our very 1st holiday together and we had the best time! we were extremely surprised with how big the hotel was, not to mention the outstanding facilities such as the modern and big gym, as well as the extraordinary entertainment staff. Every night there was something different going on, and this was by far the best entertainment i have experienced at any hotel! great for all ages and the DJ later on in the evening was great for adults and those who love a good party! The facilities for the kids was honestly something i’d never seen before! They quite literally have their own building/side of the hotel dedicated to kids activities and entertainment throughout the day and the evening; including the endless fresh popcorn, candy floss, bubble tea and tuck shop in the evening, not to mention the GoApe style courses/park for the children during the day. The scenery was beautiful, and even though we had a standard room there were no complaints at all it was massive!! Not to forget, the alcohol was STRONG. This is not a bad thing at all!! I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were being served proper labeled and branded spirits and not cheap under the counter stuff!(which you’ll find a lot of all inclusives tend to do). The only thing that disappointed us was the repetitiveness of the buffets, especially in the morning for breakfast. In addition, there was no cereal to be found which shocked me as i had never seen this in a hotel before, especially when there are a lot of kids. In addition, if you stay 7 nights or under you are only obliged to 1 free a la carte which you don’t even have full pick of; you are given the choice of 2 restaurants which is the Mexican or the Seafood. Don’t get me wrong, the food in the Mexican was lovely! However, when you pay as much as you do to go to the hotel and have all inclusive etc and then to be told that you only have 2 free a la carte restaurants to choose from out of over 5 that are there, it is very disappointing. Overall, the stay was great and honestly have no serious complaints or faults about here! Would definitely recommend.

There is everything inside hotel, what you could ever want.

Lovely Hotel, great room and very friendly staff (except reception!) Food was very varied but seemed to cater for the mainly Russian holidaymakers which was challenging at times and very busy at the restaurants which can be stressful. Can't really fault it otherwise a it was lovely and the free access to Land of Legends provided two great days out!

It will be the same comment with the one I left to tripadvisor. One addition is about the rooms. To be honest, the room we stayed (1517) was a bad one. Carpets are terrible and not hygenic. I have alergy and I could not sleep and had to get several pills during my stay! And to be honest, Rixy kid club concept is exceptionally good. Another feedback will be about the air conditioning of the workshop rooms. Teachers leave the AC in max and the rooms become freezing. All the family members are sick most probably because of this reason. But these negative parts do not change my overall satisfaction. I just leave them to experience a better holiday, in case we can afford to come again... ******************************* Before arriving at the hotel, like many others, I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on various travel portals. However, after my own experience, I realized just how harsh some people can be. Everything was exceptionally well-prepared, and the food was delicious. We absolutely loved the appetizers and dishes at the seafood restaurant. It's definitely an experience we would love to repeat—hopefully at a more affordable price next time!
